It’s always a good idea to look back at the year in review and consider what went right and what could be improved. All in all, 2015 was a great year at UCEC.
Our Phase Two remodel gave our headquarters a fresh new look. I certainly appreciate walking in the building and having a nice space.
Operationally, we offered a 401K with company match to our employees. I’m a firm believer in saving some of what you make for the future. And if your company is willing to match part of those savings? That’s what I call a win-win!
Our Steinhauer MC-80 closes out its first full year onboard with a rating of an A+. We had to walk before we could run, and I’m pleased to announce we’re definitely running with it. This new piece of technology gives us great efficiencies, which in turn helps our clients.
When I think of the company as a whole, I see the UCEC employees in my mind. Our people are taking a lot of pride in their work. The quality the team is producing is extremely high. We’re also working more efficiently on our teams, and we’re always seeking additional efficiencies, too.
We’re a growing company with new faces and talents coming onboard in 2015. I started a new position as VP of Business Operations, leaving my post in the very capable hands of John Beattie. So, as I look back on 2015, I naturally think about my “old” job and my “new” responsibilities. 2016 will be full of learning how to navigate new software, new responsibilities and new challenges. I’m ready to get going.
2015 exceeded our expectations with orders and revenue. If we keep turning these small corners of high-quality work, hiring the right people and seeking to increase our efficiencies, we will be pointed in the right direction for the New Year.
