Like you, management and operations expert Mark Inboden has worn many hats and seen significant changes throughout his career in the business world. As President and CEO of UCEC, he enjoys his role of mentoring his staff in all aspects of business operations. He is constantly asking his staff, “what does the future of UCEC look like?”
Mark came to UCEC in 2001 to help his father-in-law, Chris Kitsos, out for “a few months.” Shortly after, Chris became ill and Mark began running more of the day-to-day business. By the time Chris passed in 2004, Mark had developed a tremendous appreciation for the business and its customers.
Now in his third decade in the business world, Mark is known for his divergent thinking and creative optimism. His background in management operations at United Banks (1985-1991) and Janus Funds (1991-2000), enables him to leverage large company experiences and practices into a small company landscape.
Unlike many CEOs, putting the focus on the “customer experience” and not some “company metric” is Mark’s mantra. Mark has seen his people respond to his company goals in exceptional ways. He thoroughly enjoys seeing the next generation succeed, as they are the future leaders in training.
He counts among his many blessings a great wife and two “wonderfully ambitious” children. Competitive golf at the “senior” level consumes a great deal of his free time. In fact, he spends part of his day thinking, “how can I make the company more profitable and reduce my handicap at the same time?”
