Technical and Operational Support
President | CEO
One day, in 1999, Mark looked at his Day Timer and faced a moment of truth.
As Operations Manager for a booming mutual funds company, his days had become monopolized by two things: endless meetings and fruitless discussions about “maintaining corporate culture.”
At that moment it became clear—he'd much prefer building a company with culture, than talking about it.
The opportunity came shortly afterward when Mark’s father-in-law, Chris Kitsos, asked him to help out at UCEC. In 2004, following Chris’ untimely passing, Mark took over as President.
Now instead of talking about corporate culture, he’s building an environment that balances old values with modern, new technology.
When he's not at his desk or with a customer, Mark has been spotted snapping pictures on the UCEC manufacturing floor. He also enjoys golf year round and squeezes in a game whenever he can.
Vice President | Operations
Beginning his career at UCEC in the assembly and wiring area 14 years ago, Evan’s affinity for panel craftsmanship and excellent customer service skills have been instrumental in the UCEC quality experience.
He quickly used his panel building knowledge to learn other important functions such as QC/QA, purchasing, logistics and quotations. He was promoted to Operations Manager in 2011, and Vice-President of Operations in 2013.
Evan enjoys spending outdoors time camping with his wife and two kids. His home brewing hobby keeps him “hopping” as he started tending his own hops vines to “perfect” his Coulter IPA.
