President | CEO
Mark came to UCEC in 2002 to help his father-in-law, Chris Kitsos, out for “a few months.” Shortly after, Chris became ill and Mark began running more of the day-to-day business. By the time Chris passed in 2004, Mark had developed a tremendous appreciation for the business and its customers. He stayed on as President, telling his team: “After pushing paper in the financial world for over 17 years, it’s great to be part of a company that actually makes products you can physically touch and see.” More than a decade later, Mark continues to push UCEC to combine the best of the old — honest work, customer responsiveness and high quality products at competitive pricing, with the newest and latest technology. And he employs highly skilled craftsmen for the long-term who are the best at what they do.
Outside of UCEC, Mark is a dedicated husband and father of two children. He squeezes in a game of golf and practices whenever he can to maintain his single-digit handicap. He spends a lot of time watching both his kids play competitive soccer. Mark also volunteers as a teacher in the children’s ministry at his church, and is on the Retention Committee for the Arvada Economic Development Association. On the rare occasion he has free time, he enjoys photography, Brad Thor novels, and modifying the flux capacitor on his Ford F150.
Vice President | Operations
Beginning his career at UCEC in the assembly and wiring area 14 years ago, Evan’s affinity for panel craftsmanship and excellent customer service skills have been instrumental in the UCEC quality experience.
He quickly used his panel building knowledge to learn other important functions such as QC/QA, purchasing, logistics and quotations. He was promoted to Operations Manager in 2011, and Vice-President of Operations in 2013.
Evan enjoys spending outdoors time camping with his wife and two kids. His home brewing hobby keeps him “hopping” as he started tending his own hops vines to “perfect” his Coulter IPA.
